Was nice to see several more ladies come to our meeting last week! May was pretty sparse!
We discussed several items of business this month.
A few members want to hold a quilt retreat at Bear Lake in August or September. If you would like to join in on the fun, please come to our next meeting where more information will be available! Cost is approximately $39/night. Not bad at all for a fun quilty weekend!
Demo in July will be given by Linda Bradshaw.
Misty has extra Flag blocks so keep sewing and bring your blocks to our next meeting so she can make another quilt top from them. See the picture below of the first set of blocks! What a fun quilt!
If you are interested in making quilts for sick children at Primary's, the quilts need to be ready to show at the Heritage Barn dinner/quilt show in July. Details can be given to you at Valley Fabric.
During our meeting we discussed different ideas on making our quilt blocks or quilts with Guild members.
One of these months we WILL play "Strip Poker" with our fabric strips! Bring your 2 1/2" strips to our next meeting and hopefully we can play the game! That is 2 1/2" x WOF. Similar to jelly roll strips. You can cut your own from your own fabric or use fabric strips from jelly rolls you don't want. The more strips you bring, the more fun you will have!
On with our Show and Tell:
Dawn brought a couple of very pretty quilts to show. The first one is a baby quilt. The pastels are so pretty.
Here is her gorgeous Bloomin' 9 Patch! Love the soft colors!
